On March 11, 2016, Mr. Steven Angel, Defense Liaison Officer and Mr. David Lin, Vice Consul of the U.S. Consulate General in Shanghai visited SIIS. They had a discussion with Mr. Lu Chuanying and Dr. Pan Xiaoming on Internet governance and the U.S. sanction on ZTE.
