On March 24, 2016, Mr. Steven Angel, Defense Liaison Officer from the Consulate-General of the US in Shanghai visited SIIS. He had a discussion with Prof. Zhang Yao, Director of the Center for Maritime and Polar Studies, Dr. Jin Liangxiang and Dr. Xue Lei on US-ROK mil-to-mil relations, US-Russia relations, US-Japan mil-to-mil relations, Syrian issue and the US Presidential election etc.
