On June 15, 2016, Mr. Walter C. Jones, co-founder and managing director of Jones Pohl Group visited SIIS. He met with President Chen Dongxiao and Prof. Yang Jiemian, Chairman of Academic Council. Some young research fellows of SIIS also joined the meeting. The two sides had a discussion on the political landscape in the Middle East, relations between China and Arabic countries, interests and cooperation of major powers in the Middle East etc.
