Zambian Scholar Joins SIIS as visiting scholar

Dr. Pamela Mambwe Nakamba-Kabaso, Executive Director and Senior Research Fellow of Zambia Institute for Policy Analysis and Research (ZIPAR) joined SIIS as visiting scholar from April 23rd-May 1st, 2016. During her stay in Shanghai, Dr. Nakamba-Kabaso visited Shanghai Women’s Federation to learn about China’s experience on women’s right protection. She also had meetings with SIIS research fellows including Prof. Yang Jiemian, Chairman of SIIS Academic Committee, Prof. Zhang Chun, Deputy Director of the Institute for Foreign Policy Studies, and Dr. Zhu Ming from the Center for West Asian and African Studies etc. Besides, Dr. Nakamba-Kabaso delivered a lecture on Opportunities and Tensions in Zambia-China and Africa-China Relations for SIIS researchers and graduate students.
