On May 9, 2016, Prof. David Shinn from the Elliott School of International Affairs, George Washington University visited SIIS. He had a discussion with Prof. Shao Yuqun, director of the Institute for Taiwan, Hongkong and Macao Studies, Dr. Xue Lei from the Institute for World Economic Studies, and Dr. Jin Liangxiang from the Center for West Asian and African Studies etc. on the cooperation of U.S and China in Africa and its challenges.
