On May 23, 2016, a student delegation from the Kennedy School of Government of Harvard University visited SIIS. The delegation was invited by the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC) and China-United States Exchanges Foundation (CUSEF). Prof. Yang Jiemian, Chairman of SIIS Academic Council hosted a roundtable to exchange views with the delegation on the U.S. general election, the South China Sea issue, China’s soft power, cyber security and U.S.-Russia relations etc. The young research fellows of SIIS, some Ph.D candidates from Shanghai International Studies University and East China Normal University participated in the discussion.
