On May 31, 2016, a seminar for the 2016 Ministerial Workshop on Development Model for Developing Countries was held at SIIS. Hosted by Academy for International Business Officials, Ministry of Commerce of China, the workshop was led by Mr. Zou Chuanming, Vice President of the Academy. Prof. Yang Jiemian, Chairman of SIIS Academic Council, delivered a keynote speech on “China’s Ways of Development: Experiences, Lessons & Implications” for more than 30 high-ranking officials (including 6 ministers and 16 Director-Generals) from Lesotho, Sri Lanka, Tonga, Panama, Samoa etc. at the seminar.
