On June 15, 2016, a delegation of Sri Lanka Parliament led by MP. Mahinda Amaraweera, Minister of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Development of Sri Lanka visited SIIS. Prof. Yang Jiemian, Chairman of SIIS academic council hosted a roundtable joined by Prof. Cai Penghong from the Institute for Foreign Policy Studies, Mr. Zhang Yu, deputy director of the Institute for Information Studies, and Dr. Wang Yuzhu from the Institute for World Economic Studies. The two sides had a discussion on China-Sri Lanka cooperation and Sri Lanka’s engagement in the “One Belt and One Road” initiative etc.
