On July 5, 2016, Prof. Liu Kang, research fellow from Duke University and academician of the Academy of Europe gave a speech on China Studies and Cultural Studies: Paradigm Shifts of Area Studies and Interdisciplinary Research at SIIS. The lecture was chaired by Prof. Yang Jiemian, chairman of SIIS academic council. Prof. Liu also interacted with the audience including SIIS young researchers and graduate students.
