On July 8, 2016, Dr. David Rothkopf, CEO of Foreign Policy (USA) visited SIIS. President Chen Dongxiao had a discussion with Dr. Rothkopf on the prospect of the U.S. general election, the future of China-U.S. relations, the core of South China Sea issue, the impact of Brexit from the EU, counter terrorism in the Middle East, the key issues of the G20 Hangzhou Summit etc. Dr. Zhang Zhexin, editor of China Quarterly of International Strategic Studies and Dr. Sun Haiyong also attended the meeting.
