Young Think Tank Scholars from Neighboring Countries Visit SIIS

On July 22, invited by Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs, a group of young think tank scholars from neighboring countries visited SIIS. The delegation consists of researchers from Japan, ROK, Mongolia, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Maldives, Afghanistan. Prof. Zhao Gancheng, senior fellow of the Center for Asia-Pacific studies moderated the roundtable on China’s peripheral diplomacy including the impact of “One Belt and One Road” Initiative on China’s peripheral diplomacy, the cooperation between China and neighboring countries in Africa, and security in Northeast Asia etc. Prof. Gong Keyu, deputy director of the Center for Asia-Pacific Studies, Prof. Liu Zongyi, Dr. Zhou Shixin also participated in  the discussion.
