On September 1, 2016, led by Col. Lee Kien Tian, a delegation of more than eighty members from Goh KengSwee Command and Staff College (Singapore) visited SIIS. They had a discussion with Prof. Shao Yuqun, director of the Institute for Taiwan, Hongkong and Macao Studies, Dr. Zhang Zhexin, and Dr. Xuechen on China-U.S. relations, security architecture in Asia-Pacific region, and the South China Sea issue etc. Col. Tan Tai Tiong from Singapore Embassy in China and Mr. Philip Ong, Deputy Consul General of Singapore in Shanghai also attended the meeting.
