On September 27, a group of senior researchers of the Central Policy Unit of Hongkong Special Administrative Region of PRC visited SIIS led by Mr. SHIU Sin-por, Head of the Unit. SIIS President Chen Dongxiao and Chairman of Academic Affairs Council, Prof. Yang Jiemian hosted meetings with the group. The two sides had a discussion on China-U.S. relations, the U.S. general election, Cross-strait relations, and South China Sea issue etc. Prof. Zhang Haibing, director of the Institute for World Economic Studies, Prof. Wu Chunsi, director of the Institute for International Strategic Studies, Prof. Yu Hongyuan, director of the Institute for Public Policy Studies and Prof. Shao Yuqun, director of the Institute for Taiwan, Hongkong and Macao Studies attended the meetings.
