On September 28, 2016, headed by Mr. Maung Maung Win, Vice Minister of Planning and Finance of Myanmar, more than 60 participants of the 2016 Ministerial Workshop on International Cooperation in Capacity Building for Developing Countries visited SIIS. Chaired by Prof. Zhao Gancheng, Prof. Yang Jiemian, Chairman of SIIS Academic Affairs Council delivered a keynote speech on China’s foreign relations. The workshop attendees had a discussion with SIIS scholars including Dr. Wang Yuzhu and Dr. Zhu Ming on China’s neighborhood diplomacy, China-Africa cooperation, and China-Latin America cooperation etc.

The workshop was hosted by Ministry of Finance, and co-sponsored by the Academy for International Business Officials (AIBO), MOFCOM, which was aimed to introduce China’s experience in international cooperation in capacity building and sustainable developing. The participants include 19 vice ministers, 52 directors and Director-Generals from 19 developing countries.
