On September 22, 2016, SIIS President Chen Dongxiao had a meeting with Prof. Shigeo Katsu, Chancellor of Nazarbayev University (Kazakhstan) and his colleagues. Mr. Shigeo Katsu introduced the background and blueprint of Nazarbayev University and the National Analytical Center of Kazakhstan. The two sides had a strong wish for further cooperation and exchanges. Prof. Wu Chunsi, director of the Institute for International Strategic Studies, Prof. Qiang Xiaoyun, deputy director of the Center for Russian and Central Asian Studies, Mr. Zhang Yu, deputy director for academic exchanges and Dr. Feng Shuai also joined the meeting.
