On October 12, 2016, a group of media professionals from Australia visited SIIS, with members including Ms. Jennifer Hewett of the Australian Financial Review, Mr. Andrew Tillett of the West Australian, and Ms. Lisa Martin of the Australian Associated Press. Prof. Yang Jiemian, Chairman of SIIS Academic Affairs Council had a meeting with the delegation and answered the questions on the situation in the Asia-Pacific region.
