On November 14, 2016, SIIS President Chen Dongxiao had a meeting with Ms. Mary Ann Peters, President& CEO of the Carter Center (U.S.) and her colleagues. The two sides exchanged views on the cooperation and communication between each other and signed MOU. SIIS fellows including Prof. Ye Jiang, Prof. Ye Yu, Dr. Zhang Zhexin, Dr. Feng Shuai and Dr. Zhu Ming also attended the meeting.

Prof. Yang Jiemian, Chairman of SIIS Academic Affairs Council also had a discussion with Ms. Peters on the U.S general election.
