On April 28, 2017, SIIS President Chen Dongxiao met with Mr. Noyan Rona, chief representative of Garanti Bank in China and the research fellow of the Center for Turkish Studies of Shanghai University. Then hosted by SIIS Assistant President Ye Qing, Mr. Rona delivered a speech on the current situation of Turkey, the Belt & Road Initiative and China-Turkey relationship with SIIS research fellows from the Center for West Asian and African Studies and Center for Asia-Pacific Studies.
