On May 19, 2017, SIIS and the Friedrich Ebert Stiftung (FES) co-sponsored the symposium on “The future of EU and China-EU Relations”. SIIS President and FES Shanghai Resident Director Stefan Pantekoek delivered the opening remarks. The symposium invited more than 20 experts from both Europe and China to have in-depth discussions on the future of EU integration, the rise of populism in Europe and China-EU relations.
