On June 22, 2017, Prof. Yang Jiemian, chairman of SIIS Academic Affairs Council met with Mr. José Ramón Balaguer, head of the International Department of the Communist Party of Cuba and his colleagues. The two sides had a discussion on China-U.S. relations and Cuba-U.S. relations etc. Prof. Niu Haibin, Dr. Lou Xiangfei and Huang Fangfang from the Center for American Studies attended the meeting.
