On June 29, 2017, led by Mr. Prasad Dodangodage, assistant director of Rupavahini & member of the Sri Lanka-China Journalists’ Forum, the Sri Lanka media delegation visited SIIS. The delegation is co-organized by Chinese Embassy in Sri Lanka and Sri Lanka-China Journalists’ Forum and is composed of 15 journalists and editors from major Sri Lanka media. SIIS President Chen Dongxiao met with the delegation and exchanged views on Belt & Road Initiative and China-Sri Lanka relations. Prof. Liu Zongyi, research fellow of the Center for Asia-Pacific Studies attended the meeting.
