On July 5, 2017, SIIS President Chen Dongxiao met with Prof. Cynthia Sanborn, Vice Principal of University of the Pacific (Peru) and her colleague, Dr. Santa Gadea, director of the Center for China and Pacific Studies. The two sides had a discussion on global and regional situation, China-Latin America relations and future cooperation etc. Prof. Ye Qing, SIIS assistant president, Prof. Zhang Haibing, director of the Institute for World Economic Studies, Prof. Niu Haibin, deputy director of the Center for American Studies, Dr. Lou Xiangfei, Dr. Wang Yuzhu, and Ms. Huang Fangfang attended the meeting.
