On July 23, 2017, Prof. Yang Jiemian, chairman of SIIS Academic Affairs Council met with Ms. Melinda Gates, co-chair of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. The two sides had a discussion on China-US cooperation on the aid to Africa on health and poverty etc.
