On August 31, 2017, Prof. Yang Jiemian, chairman of SIIS Academic Affairs Council met with the delegation of the National University of Tierra del Fuego, Antarctica and South Atlantic Islands (Argentina) led by Prof. Juan José Castelucci, President of the University. The two sides had a discussion on China-Argentina relations, China-Latin America relations, and academic cooperation between China and Argentina etc. Prof. Niu Haibin, deputy director of the Center for American Studies, Dr. Lou Xiangfei and Huang Fangfang also participated in the meeting.
