On September 20, 2017, Mr. Ali Akbar Sibeveih, Director of the International Department of the Secretariat of Iran’s Expediency Council, led a delegation to SIIS. SIIS President Chen Dongxiao met with the delegation and exchanged ideas on the Belt and Road Initiative, the situation in Middle East, and China-Iran relations etc. SIIS Assistant President Ye Qing, Prof. Jin Liangxiang, Prof. Li Weijian, Ms. Liu Xin from the Center for West Asia & African Studies, and Dr. Wang Yuzhu from the Institute for World Economic Studies attended the meeting.
