On March 16, 2018, SIIS President Chen Dongxiao met with Susan Gregson, senior fellow of University of Ottawa (Canada), former assistant deputy foreign minister of Canada, former Consul General of Canada in Shanghai. The two sides had a discussion on China’s political, economic and social development. Prof. Shao Yuqun, director of the institute for Taiwan, Hongkong & Macao studies hosted a meeting on China’s role in international society and China’s cultivation of future leaders etc. Prof. Wu Chunsi, director of the institute for international strategic studies, and Dr. Zhang Zhexin, assistant director of the institute for Taiwan, Hongkong & Macao studies also participated in the discussion.
