On May 18, 2018, Prof. Oran Young from UCSB visited SIIS and participated in the roundtable on “Will the BRI Complement or Contradict the Existing Global Order?”. The discussion was moderated by Prof. Yang Jian, vice president of SIIS. Prof. Ye Qing, Prof. Zhang Haibing, Prof. Zhang Chun, Prof. Ye Jiang, research fellows from the institute for global governance, SIIS and New York University Shanghai also shared their views.

Prof. Yang Jiemian, chairman of SIIS academic affairs council met with Prof. Young during his stay at SIIS. The two sides had a discussion on the trend of China-US relations.
