On August 27, 2018, Political Officer Mr. Marc Connolly of British Consulate General Shanghai visited SIIS. He had a discussion with Dr. Mao Ruipeng, research fellow of the Institute for Global Governance Studies, Dr. Zhang Zhexin, Assistant Director of the institute for Taiwan, Hongkong & Macao studies, Dr. Shi Chenxia from the Center for European Studies. They talked about the influence of the UN Security Council on international issues and international relations. They also discussed the role of Britain in the UN Security Council.
