On January 22, 2019, Dr. YE Qing, assistant president of SIIS met with Ms. Leisbeth Berríos León, Consul General of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in Shanghai and Ms. Aymara Guerder, Director of the Center for Chinese Studies in Venezuela. The two sides exchanged views on China-Venezuela relations and recent development in Latin America. Dr. NIU Haibin, Deputy Director of the Center for American studies, and Dr. LOU Xiangfei, Assistant Research Fellow of the Center for American Studies attended the meeting.
