On 17 July 2019, Mr. Eugene Gryaznov, Deputy Consul General of Russia in Shanghai, visited SIIS. He exchanged views with Dr. Zhang Yao, Director of the Center for Maritime and Polar Studies, Dr. Zhao Long, Assistant Director of the Institute for Global Governance Studies, Dr. Cheng Baozhi, research fellow of the Institute for Global Governance Studies, and Dr. Zheng Yingqin, research fellow of the Institute for Taiwan, Hong Kong & Macao Studies with regard to Arctic issues and China-Russia cooperation in the Arctic.
