On November 20, 2019, SIIS president Chen Dongxiao met with Consul General of Israel in Shanghai Dr. Eyal Propper and his colleagues. The two sides had a discussion on international situation and future cooperation. Prof. Li Weijian from the Center for West Asian and African Studies and Dr. Zhang Pei, deputy director of the Department of International Exchanges participated in the meeting.
