SIIS and ISSI (Pakistan) Co-hold Webinar on China-Pakistan Relatio

On August 12, 2020, SIIS and the Institute of Strategic Studies Islamabad (ISSI) co-held a webinar on China-Pakistan Relations. Both sides had in-depth discussions on the evolving international strategic environment, China-US relations, regional security, and how to further strengthen the China-Pakistan relations etc. SIIS President Chen Dongxiao and ISSI Director General Amb. Aizaz Ahmad Chaudhry co-chaired the meeting.


Pakistan participants including Amb. Khalid Mahmood, Chairman of BoG, Amb. Masood Khalid, former Ambassador of Pakistan to China, Lt. Gen (R) Naeem Khalid Lodhi, former Defence Secretary of Pakistan, Dr. Rifaat Hussain, Professor of the Government & Public Policy, National University of Sciences and Technology, Dr. Saranjam Baig, Director of CPEC research center at Karakaram University, Gilgit, and Dr. Talat Shabbir, Director CPSC, ISSI attended the dialogue. 


Dr. Wang Xu, Professor and Deputy Director of the Center for South Asian Studies, Peking University, Dr. Zhang Jiadong, Professor and Director of South Asian Studies Center, Fudan University, Dr. Wang Shida, Professor and Deputy Director of Institute for South Asian Studies, CICIR, Dr. Wu Chunsi, Director of Institute for International Strategic Studies, SIIS, Dr. Shao Yuqun, Director of Institute for Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao Studies, SIIS, Dr. Zhang Pei, Deputy Director of Department of International Exchanges, SIIS, Dr. Liu Zongyi, Secretary General of SACC, SIIS, and Dr. Li Hongmei, Fellow of Institute for International Strategic Studies, SIIS participated in the discussion.
