On Dec.3, 2020, SIIS held a video dialogue with General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University (KDU, Sri Lanka).  Major General Milinda Peiris, Vice Chancellor of KDU and Prof. Chen Dongxiao, president of SIIS co-chaired the dialogue and gave welcome remarks. Scholars from China and Sri Lanka shared their insights on China-Sri Lanka cooperation, Sri Lanka and the BRI, terrorism and Sri Lanka`s national security, regional security, China and Sri Lanka`s policy towards the Indian Ocean region etc.
