On July 6, 2021, Professor Chen Dongxiao, President of the Shanghai Institutes for International Studies, co-chaired the 14^th Meeting of the ASEAN Regional Forum Experts and Eminent Persons with his Myanmar counterpart Mr. Wai Lwin Than. 

This meeting reviewed the implementation of the ARF work plan on preventative diplomacy and had a discussion on regional security issues including regional security landscape and non-traditional security challenges post COVID-19. 

Dr. Lu Chuanying, Secretary General of the Cyberspace International Governance Research Center of SIIS, was invited to speak as discussant. Dr. Feng Shuai and Dr. Li Yanliang of SIIS participated in the meeting.
